The project DISCOBONUS was first formed in Russia in 2001.
The one and only original member of the project is Igor Sorokin, who is composer, lyricist, arranger, producer, main and background singer. Affected by the sound of Dieter Bohlen, he began to compose songs sounding like Modern Talking.
Even though his first songs were produced in 2001, the project became very popular with his disco hit "You Are My Star" in Germany after playing this song in radio. The main principle of the project is to make the music of the 80’s using the style of Modern Talking, Blue System and others.
While also other bands like Fresh Fox, T.M.Joy, Mark Ashley followed this wonderful style in the new time, DISCOBONUS is loved by his fans for succesfull trying to use old rhythmus and arrangement of the Modern Talking Sound. The best examples are the songs like “Disco Light”, “Energy”, “Angel”, “Fly to you”.
The music of DISCOBONUS remind of the golden era of the 80’s and shows in every of his songs that this disco sound really never dies. In this year a first CD will be released.
