R.I.P. Birger Corleis

We are so sad about this new. Birger Corleis has passed away with 56 years old.

Birger Corleis was original member of the Modern Talking choir and several Bohlen productions included CCCatch and Blue System. He gave his voice to the track of Modern Talking “There’s Too Much Blue In Missing You”, although his credits were not included.

He worked as studio singer with Mary Roos, Roy Black, Howard Carpendale, Nino de Angelo, Simone, Thomas Anders, among others. Working with his colleagues Rolf Köhler, Michael Scholz and Detlef Wiedeke, he was member of Springflut, Straight Flush, Junk Band and many others independent productions and music proyects.

Later, he followed his own way playing and producing with his band Duckdivers, music in blues and country style.

Rest In Peace dear Birger

Retronic Voice - Awakening 2012

.
And when everybody was talking about the end of the world in this year, suddenly surprised us something with the title "Awakening". It has came to us in the right time and when we more needed of that.
The album came to me by a suggestion of my partner dj-andy, who seemed that was not able to hold his tears after hear it, well I had to hear it by my own and I was simply fascinated.
But I will tell a little bit about the band, it is called Retronic Voice (precised name indeed), formed by Daniel Pettersson from Sweden and Marco Rochowski from Germany. They both were working about four years before finally to release their first album under the label of Space Sound Records
There are 14 tracks including a short intro, and every song is a nice recall to the 80's italodisco. One can really realize the careful work with every song. There is also a good level with the lyrics which are not simple irrelevant love stories, everyone seems to give a message and we can notice that starting with the intro.
The voice of Daniel can remind a little bit the sound of Depeche Mode, is elegant and stronger, it definitely gives a special brand to the record. The melodies remind us to our favorites hits from the general eurodisco, the spacesynth touch is also very present and despite their clear influence they have got an own style.

It is not really possible to choose a favorite track, because everyone is good enough for an own single, although "Feel the Night" already was choosed as that, (in the album is possible to find an extended mix version). The track "Bessina" also counts with the female vocals of Alicja Wiśniewska, tracks like "Feel the Night" can reminds a little bit the original sound of Modern Talking and Systems In Blue with a little HPV for enjoy.
If you are a nostalgic of the 80's disco, I suggest you to get this masterpiece in your collection.

Si Si Cheri - The new german hit from SIB

Since it was announced got a positive feedback, despite we had not really idea of how could sound the song and that some fans were still not conviced about the vocals of Marco, finally after the first promo we realized it was a song with many potential, released without label since 15.06.2012 got little by little the simpathy of the more diverse public. The choir in english was simply perfect bringing us back the so missed SIB sound with the special high pitch voices.   Romantic lyric and nice melody made a beautiful song which is already a summer hit that has got the first positions in different radio charts.

Systems In Blue - Voices from Beyond

Finally Spectre released a new Best Of album for Systems In Blue, it is called "Voices From Beyond", this compilation include in special the demo versions sung by Rolf Köhler that were released before in a limited independent fan edition, so fans now have the chance for get it in CD quality if before they couldn't. include also some productions to Patty Ryan and Mark Ashley and two new mixes, the first is a new mix version of Shangri La,  and the other a short medley called "Made In Heaven", they both done by DJ Deep 2k 12.

The album is available in CD format and both by digital download in the main internet shops.
About the album I recommed it for people who is still knowing about Systems In Blue and are interested in spread their music. Hardcore fans maybe can find only interesant the new mixes, specially the last medley which is well done despite is too short. In general way both releases can be a good perfoming for the new public and to hear again the Systems In Blue songs is always a pleasure.
